Valladolid is a beautiful city with a lot of history behind it. I was amazed with how nice the people were to me. They were a quite bunch of people and very religious. The church was the center of attention in this city. A park was right across from the church and many people gathered their also. On my tour to Chichen Itza we stopped here for only a short time, about 30 minutes, and this just wasn't enough time to see as much as I wanted to see of this beautiful city. To those who decide to visit this Church in the photo up above ... They're are many Mayan people trying to sell you their souvenirs. These people of the Yucatan and especially Valladolid are some of the greatest people you will ever meet. They are under the impression that Americans are rich and will buy any trinket they can sell. If you decide go to this area, you will love staying in the city and going out amongst the locals and experience the real Mexico. I hope I have the chance someday to go here and truly dive into this unique culture. The uniqueness about the Mayans is they live pretty much as their ancestors did and you can experience this first hand. Click here for more information on Valladolid.
