The above photo is a group portrait of most of the Yucatan tour members from Delta College. My family is in the front row and we were part of the snorkeling adventures aboard the Fury Catamaran off the shore of Cozumel. This 65 foot catamaran was only 5 days old when we booked it for our snorkeling tour of the reefs of Cozumel. It had plenty of room on both inside in the cabin and outside on the front deck and on the top deck.
During our snorkeling the guides would first jump into the water to see if we were in a good spot or not. Once they found a good place with lots of fish they would signal us to join them. The guides would take a tortilla and break small pieces off to attract the fish. They also gave us some tortillas to feed to the fish. Snorkel equipment was supplied and we received new snorkels to use and keep for safety reasons. We seen many beautiful fish, crab, stingray and other sea life. The fish were so close you could touch them if you were fast enough. The plants were very colorful in the crystal clear water. The water was about 30-40 feet deep at times and I could still see the bottom with no problem. Plenty of drinks were available and the boat had two bathrooms on it.
On the way back we stopped at their own privet beach and played volley ball, had a lobster dinner, and more drinks. Live entertainment was supplied and the sun felt great as we played on the sandy beach.
I highly recomend that eveyone try this at least once in their lifetime.
